CS10 Clinic Schedule

There simply isn’t a better excuse to come to JTree, give back to the Park and build lifelong relationships with other climbers of all skill levels. Did we mention swag?

First 50 registrants to camp with us get limited campsites at the festival grounds, directly next to the Sportsman’s Club in Joshua Tree. Don’t miss this annual gathering that supports FOJT, Joshua Tree Search & Rescue and other key climbing advocacy groups. <

  • What activities are planned for Friday? Just registration and camp?

What is the approximate percentage of on deck instruction vs. on rock time/instruction?

  • Thanks for asking the questions Brian, and for the interest in Climb Smart. Friday is registration and getting settled into camp at the Sportsmans Club site. There will be an athlete presentation/slideshow, and some musical performance. Pretty mellow overall as people are arriving.
On Saturday and Sunday the clinics and service project are on; mostly skills instruction and evaluation, with open toprope climbing available in most of the 1/5-2 hour time slots. We will post the clinic schedule very soon, and each ‘pod’ will have open climbing elements. I’ll send you an example of a prior year’s clinic schedule if you reply with your email address. Or send to me privately at info@friendsofjosh.org .
Thanks again and hope to see you in JTree next weekend! Kenji at FOJT

  • Thanks to everyone who contributed to a great event to kick off the season in Josh last weekend. Lots of fun, learning, inspiration, swag, and an awesome Rib Co. dinner Saturday night. Some new elements were a central campsite at the same venue as the entertainment and events, main park climbing/clinics, Echo Cove service project, and evening campfires at the venue with athletes, sponsors, participants all gathered around. Let us know what you’d like to see in the future with our new format by replying here, or sending a note to info@friendsofjosh.org .
    Thanks again!
