#SafeOutside is the first in-depth effort to examine and work toward positive change related to sexual harassment and sexual assault in the climbing community. Over 5000 climbers nationwide were surveyed about their experiences, from gym to remote crag, and from the Southeast US to Yosemite. Climbing Magazine, Alpinist Magazine, The Access Fund, REI, American Alpine Club and dozens of other organizations relevant to climbing are in support. 

Here’s what Rock & Ice is saying about it. We at FOJT support this initiative 100%. There isn’t room for this behavior anymore in the climbing community, and FOJT will be looking for ways to address the issue at Climb Smart and other events and communication into the future.
